The festival is played in the early Middle Ages of Northern Russia and Scandinavia of the VIII-XI centuries. People hold a tournament of archers, wall-to-wall bugurts and single fights. There are also demonstrations of reenactment clubs, demonstrations of sewn costumes and various comic competitions related to the life of that time. For example, throwing a stump and a log, a battle with frying pans, peeling apples, searching for an egg in a haystack.
It takes place in the summer near Tobolsk (Tyumen region), in the fortress of Abalak.
