Each of the peoples inhabiting our planet has its own sacred place. These are territories closely connected with wisdom and memory of their ancestors. Many of these places originated a long time ago, some of them are older than the period of the construction of the Egyptian pyramids. In Russia, such place is the ancient city of Arkhaim. Arkhaim is a randomly found Aryan settlement that almost turned out to be buried under water. Its discovery has become a new mystery for scientists, which has not yet been fully answered.
Although It is known that this fortified wooden settlement was built at the turn of 3-2 thousand BC. The predecessor of the ancient cities of Arkhaim dates back to the Middle Bronze Age. It was the period of the Arkhaim-Sintashta culture. By its age, the settlement is considered to be the same age as ancient Babylon and the Egyptian pyramids. It is much older than ancient Troy and Rome. The excavations of archaeologists proved the fact that the inhabitants of this city were representatives of the most ancient Indo-European civilizations. They belonged to the branch that is called the Aryan culture.
Currently, the ancient city of Arkhaim is a historical, archaeological and natural landscape reserve, part of the structure of the Ilmen State Reserve.
